My name is Pernille Adine Nordby and I'm born in 1987, though it might look like I'm born in about 1920. I'm a big fan of vintage fashion and especially drawn to the 1930's and 1940's. Nothing inspires me more than the elegance of those decades. I have been sewing since I was about 12 years old and I have also been through a hippie/1960's-period. I started with redesigning old clothes, and have now advanced to design, constructing patterns and sewing the clothes from scratch. I have my own business called Little Bluebird and I share a workingspace with my two designerfriends, FrkLoo and Ninska, at Bislett. The place is called Wilma and it's soon to be a vintage/design boutique! I live in in Majorstua with my two friends, Cora and Miriam. In my spare time I like to go to vintage shops (of course) at Grünerløkka and flea markets, visit the Museum of Art Industries, go to cafés with friends and reading good novels.
This blog is called Oldemor, the norwegian word for great grandma. My great grandma, whom I never met, has been a great inspiration for me, through the clothes and shoes I inherited from her. She had her best years in the 20's to the 40's, and that's why I dedicate this blog to her.
